Day 05

A Book that Makes You Happy

The Importance of Being Earnest

Oscar Wilde

The Importance of Being Earnest, and Other Plays

Reasons: Technically, not a book in the sense that it's not a novel, but since it's readily available in book format, I figured why not. I think Oscar Wilde is one of the funniest writers I've ever had the pleasure of reading. This play is full of dry British wit and it never fails to make me laugh until I'm rocking a six-pack. It has great social commentary (for its period), absurd situations and a heart-warming ending. If you haven't read it or watched it performed on stage, I sincerely believe you're missing out.
